In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Segen Limited trading as Segen Finance. “You” means anyone using this website.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the version that applies, and the date above tells you when it last changed. Please check back occasionally.
3. What this website is for
This website does two things. It explains residential solar and related technologies in general terms, and it explains how finance arranged through Segen Finance works.
Nothing on this website is financial advice, and nothing on it is a personal recommendation. We do not assess whether a finance agreement, a solar system, or any particular product is suitable for your circumstances. If you want advice on your own situation, please speak to a suitably qualified adviser.
Nothing on this website is an offer of credit. Segen Finance is a credit broker, not a lender. Homeowner credit is provided by Zopa Bank Limited, subject to status and affordability, and any offer of credit comes from Zopa rather than from us. Commercial finance is provided by an established asset finance lender, subject to a credit check, and any offer of credit comes from the lender instead of us. Applications are made through an installer in our network; you cannot apply for finance on this website.
4. Accuracy of the information here
We take care to make the information on this site accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee it is complete or free from error, and it may become out of date.
The guides in our renewables section contain illustrative figures, including generation estimates, savings, payback periods and installation costs. These are typical ranges for a typical home under current market conditions. They are not quotations, and not predictions about your property. Your own figures depend on your roof, your electricity use, your tariff, the system you choose and prices at the time. Only a survey by an MCS-certified installer can give you figures for your home.
Similarly, the representative example on our finance pages illustrates what a typical agreement costs. It is not the deal you will be offered. Your figures come from Zopa following a credit assessment.
5. Using the site
You may view, download and print pages from this site for your own use in considering solar and finance options. You agree not to:
- use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that could damage or impair it;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or any system connected to it;
- introduce viruses or other malicious code;
- collect data from the site by automated means without our written permission; or
- reproduce our content commercially, or republish it, without our written permission.

All content on this site, text, images, layout, design and the Segen and Segen Finance names and logos, is owned by us or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you.
7. Links to other websites
Where we link to other websites, including Zopa, the Financial Conduct Authority, the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Information Commissioner's Office, we do so because we think the information is useful. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Following an external link means leaving our site, and the terms and privacy policy of the other site will apply.
8. Availability
We aim to keep this site available but we do not guarantee it will always be accessible or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or change all or any part of it without notice.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other consumer protection legislation are not affected by these terms.
Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on the general information published on this site.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the terms continue to apply.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received from us, our complaints page explains how to tell us, what we will do, and how to take the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service if you are not satisfied with our response.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
